Outpatient Program
Even after completing an inpatient treatment program, many people still benefit from having ongoing guidance and accountability as they work on integrating recovery principles into their lives. Outpatient addiction treatment can be a helpful path to achieving and maintaining long-term sobriety. HVRC offers outpatient programming integrated within our system of detoxification and residential programs.
What is Outpatient Treatment?
Following inpatient treatment, the fundamentals of recovery may not be strong enough to prevent relapse outside a structured environment. HVRC offers outpatient services alongside our inpatient medical detoxification and residential programs. Our entire continuum of care follows the same philosophy and treatment objectives.
Early recovery can be a tumultuous time. Friends and family members may not be fully equipped to hold their newly sober loved one accountable for established boundaries, or worse yet, often have substance use issues themselves. Our partial hospital program solves this problem by providing structured, clinical care along with increasing independence and personal responsibilities. Bringing the routine and lessons of recovery to daily life can help clients adjust to being outside an inpatient setting.
Features of HVRC's Partial Hospital Outpatient Treatment Program
Successfully transitioning from an active addiction into a sober, drug-free life requires extensive therapy, and the stress of attempting to rush through the process can trigger a relapse.
HVRC encourages each client to take an active role in their recovery, so they can learn who they are without drugs and alcohol clouding their judgment. When you understand why you respond to life’s challenges in specific ways that led you to abuse alcohol or drugs, you will have a more stable foundation for overcoming addiction.
Ideal for those who have completed inpatient treatment, PHP is a transitional program for people who are willing to make a full commitment to their continued recovery. HVRC’s outpatient PHP treatment model includes evidence-based treatments like cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy, which encourage people to change their thought and behavioral patterns for the better.
In outpatient treatment, you will also benefit from:
- Peer accountability
- Individualized group therapy (older adults, young adults, first responders, chronic pain)
- Holistic therapies, including yoga, meditation, and chakra therapy
- Gender- and age-specific groups
- Relapse prevention
- 12-step meetings
- Family program
- Routine drug testing
- Therapeutic outings
- Sober fun
The Benefits of Outpatient Addiction Treatment
At HVRC, we have developed and continually improved our proven partial hospitalization outpatient model as our client base has grown. At this level of care, patients may choose to live at home or in sober living facilities, and attend regular, scheduled treatment sessions in a structured environment. This flexibility gives you more freedom in your schedule while still benefiting from the accountability built into PHP.
Successfully maintaining lifelong sobriety requires you to find a philosophy that resonates with you and a treatment plan that meets you where you are. PHP fulfills these needs by providing reliable clinical care along with increasing independence and personal responsibilities.
