Hemet Valley Recovery Center Assistance Fund
The Hemet Valley Recovery Center Assistance Fund is a restricted fund of the Hemet Hospital Foundation, a 501-C3 non-profit organization. This fund is set up to assist individuals in need of detoxification services. It provides an avenue for patients to access medical detoxification services in a safe hospital setting. They are then able to meet admission criteria standards for a variety of public and privately funded rehabilitation programs that do not accept patients who require acute level services. The goal of this funding is to increase access to Chemical Dependency services by opening up access to all socioeconomic levels in the community.
Target Group
The area of need that this fund will address is the lack of access to acute detoxification services experienced by a vast cross section of the community. Individuals most in need of these services are older adults, those with associated medical problems, and those with chronic pain and prescription drug dependency. This group is routinely disqualified from social level programs and residential facilities until they have completed detoxification and achieved a medically stabilized status. It is these acute level services that the Hemet Valley Recovery Center Assistance Fund hopes to provide for those in need. Financial assistance is awarded to individuals who demonstrate financial need and recovery motivation as determined through the application process. Recipients must agree to transition into a rehabilitation level of care at a facility of their choosing, following the acute detoxification / stabilization period to be a successful candidate. The granting of this benefit is restricted only by the availability of funding.
Community Benefit
The community impact of the Hemet Valley Recovery Assistance Fund is significant. As we know, chemical dependency problems are a cause and / or contributor to many conditions and illnesses. Research demonstrates that treatment is effective and recovery is possible for most people. The Hemet Valley Recovery Center Assistance Fund opens up access to medical detoxification services that many do not currently have.
