The Recovering Alumni of Hemet (RAH) is a fellowship of friends and family coming together in recovery, unity, and service. We share a common bond regardless of the nature of our illness or addiction. Having begun the process of recovery at the Hemet Valley Recovery Center fosters a close fellowship and camaraderie that is unique to our group. We communicate through a newsletter, and grow in our recovery together through retreats, outings, workshops, and other planned events. We are organized, incorporated, and involved in the recovering community. Through our collective efforts and a deep desire to be of service, we have opened a women's sober living home with plans to expand in the future. Alumni encourage us to live today using the "Spiritual Principals" suggested by the 12 steps of our respective programs: Faith, Surrender, Trust, Honesty, Perseverance, Patience, Charity, and Love. Our common bond to these principals brings about surrender and love for family, friends, and ourselves. Alumni shows the way to enjoy living a fuller and brighter life today, " One Day at a Time", and giving us strength, guidance, and hope to bring together loving relationships that were destroyed in the midst of our illness. We achieve this purpose by placing "Principles before Personalities" and walking with our higher power.

Q. What is an alumni association?
A. The alumni association was formed to aid alcoholics/addicts and family members in maintaining sobriety and adjusting to a new life.
Q. Who is eligible?
A. All patients of the Hemet Valley Recovery Center may participate in the alumni after completing treatment. All family members are encouraged to participate.
Q. When and where?
A. Wednesday evenings at 6:00 PM on the Recovery Center unit.
